The conference science objectives will be addressed over four days through
oral sessions, and an evening poster session
Oral Sessions
- Four main topics will be addressed in 3 oral
sessions each. Oral sessions will consist of several 25-minute invited
presentations, several 20-minute contributed presentations, and a
30-minute summary by the session chairs highlighting the important points
and unanswered questions raised in the session.
Poster Session
- An evening poster session on Wednesday night will
contain a number of posters addressing each of the four main topics of the
conference. Refreshments will be provided. Also, all presenters will
be given an opportunity to give a short (1-minute, 1 slide) summary of
their poster during an oral session on the first two days.
Special Events
- A conference banquet will be held on Thursday
evening from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. Invited banquet speaker Jim Green from NASA
Headquarters will give a presentation on the Great Solar Storm of 1859,
followed by dinner. More details to follow.
