=================================================================== Tohban report: 2008/3/31 - 2008/4/8 last data checked 2008/04/06 at 00:00 UT =================================================================== Special items ============= - Investigation of the density trigger: two crib sheets are available for testing the density trigger on flatsat; Jim Lewis reported that he might have flatsat data available by Tuesday (4/8); next tohban should get in contact with John McDonald to test the trigger on the flatsat data (maybe using one of the crib sheets) - Data on TH-B were periodically (with 4-day period) discarded (see previous tohban e-mail). This practice has now been discontinued. I checked it for April 4th and data were present. (March 31st was the last day when data were discarded.) Tohban should keep an eye on this. - All probes (except TH-A) show signs of sun pulse contamination for SST. For TH-D and TH-E, sun pulse contamination “re-appeared” on April 3rd. Before that the data showed no sign of contamination. TH-C and TH-B continue to show this problem. TH-A appears to be the only probe without this problem. Davin Larson has been contacted and his report back to us is expected. - FBK EFI on THD and THE showed long periods (March 29/30 – April 2 and April 5) of faulty data. John Bonnell believes that it is due to THD and THE creeping up on 'sensor eclipse season', in other words, the part of the orbit where the spin plane sensors get periodically shadowed, producing large amplitude (tens of volts), short-duration spikes that would produce broadband enhancements across the FFT and FBK data. So, this problem could show up again. - Several maneuvers were done with TH-A, D, and E, and, consequently, no data for ESA during those times. This might still be going on. Be aware. - EFI load routine crashes in ‘thm_get_efi_cal_pars’. John Bonnell is looking into this.
