See TH A 29th June 1800 UT –there is a density variation in this TH D 23rd June 1200 UT –no density variation for this one Seems to happen when there are no other bursts are collected. Yes this is he case - if the relative goodness of these bursts exceeds any other events in the orbit then this rad belt burst is retained.
