Title: TRACE UV Flare footpoints

Abstract: We have developed a technique for tracking individual
'kernels' in UV/EUV flare ribbons observed by TRACE. This shows the
overall separation of the ribbons, as well as small-scale dynamics
within the ribbons themselves, such as the convergence of kernels
towards one location and the meandering of kernels around granular
boundaries. We will discuss the relationship between UV kernel dynamics,
hard X-ray source location, and inferred magnetic field structures.
