Paper Title: A 3D Line-Tied Model of an Erupting Flux Rope Author List: Isenberg, P. A. and Forbes, T. G. Abstract: We will present and discuss our new analytical 3D line-tied model of an evolving coronal flux rope which exhibits an ideal loss of equilibrium. The model is based on the equilibrium configuration of Titov and DC)moulin (1999), with a more accurate application of line-tied conditions at the photospheric boundary, allowing for the treatment of eruptive behavior. Such a catastrophic loss of equilibrium can lead to rapid rise of the flux rope, triggering reconnection at the quasi-separatrix surfaces, and the manifestation of various CME properties.
