* Project items for IMPACT

- Current issues: Mission CDR 1 hr IMPACT presentation
  draft is due Feb 4. Final is due week of Feb 10. 
  Also preparations for 20 min presentation on schedule
  rebaseline to GSFC Management Council on Feb 10 (see below)
  are in progress.

  New IMPACT instrument manager@GSFC after CDR
  is Lil Reichenthal (lreichen@pop700.gsfc.nasa.gov)

- Schedule/Meetings: 
  
  There will be a new (unforeseen)
  Goddard Management Council STEREO Schedule Review
  at GSFC Feb 10. Curtis, Luhmann, Tycho will attend

  Mission CDR will be Feb. 18-21 at APL. SWAVES CDR
  will immediately follow.

  Project continues spacecraft coordination meetings
  on Thursdays. Check APL website for presentations.

- Spacecraft: All ICDs needed by mission CDR

- Budget: New contract has been signed off
          Need to review schedule/cost trades


* Instruments

- Need to assist Dave Curtis with schedule rebaseline
  activity for GSFC presentation on Feb 10, and with
  preparation of mission CDR IMPACT presentation a
  week later. Please respond quickly to email from dwc@ssl
  or calls.

- High priority IMPACT action items for next weeks
  include power converter manpower, 
  SEP fields of view, SEP detectors,
  STE DAC replacements and parts radiation tests

- All Peer Reviews completed. 

- Thermal model updates needed by mission CDR

_ Parts lists updates needed by mission CDR

- Schedule and Resource updates needed by mission CDR

- All IMPACT CDR action items (RFAs) should be reviewed
  by mission CDR

- Ground strap design being done by Paul Turin
  at UCB. (status?)

- SWEA Engineering Model arrived at SSL.
  Thermal blanket coatings, relevant to SWEA conductivity
  requirement, have been  decided by Project. For 
  details Contact Davin Larson (davin@ssl.berkeley.edu)

- Boom Design: Mechanical prototype float-tank tested for
  "zero G" stiffness. Tubes ordered.

- Status of magnetic cleanliness items: Latch valve is
  an issue of concern. Shielding solution is under
  consideration. Compensation magnets also 
  need to be located on spacecraft. Reaction
  wheel fields now known. SECCHI magnetics issues
  still a question -should be settled by mission CDR.

- There are currently weekly or biweekly SEP telecons
  on Thursdays, and periodic BOOM and IDPU meetings at UCB. 
  All-team telecons are now once/month:

  2003 IMPACT Wed. telecons, provisional dates
  are second Wednesdays of each month at 9AM Pacific
  (exceptions for major meeting weeks, also subject to
  changes announced by email)

- Phase C Progress Report information will be collected
  by Dave prior to the 15th of each month.

* Other

- Peter Schroeder (peters@ssl.berkeley.edu) completed
  the Data Management Plan draft. Need to continue
  discussion of a common data format for archive
  purposes in response to CDR panel feedback.

- selected Helios 1/2 data are available for browsing and
  download- as a STEREO in-situ prototype set- at the URL
