* Project items for IMPACT

- Current issues: Harry Culver will be leaving his
  post as IMPACT representative at GSFC. New IMPACT
  representative is TBD. Harry will be available
  part-time through IMPACT CDR.
  Please send Dave your CDR inputs. CDR presentation
  draft is due at APL Oct 20.

- Schedule/Meetings: 
  IMPACT CDR has been scheduled for Nov 20-22 
  at a location near GSFC. Mission CDR is Dec. 10-13
  at APL. If you wish to attend please inform Dave. 
  Project continues spacecraft coordination meetings
  on thursdays. Check APL website for presentations.

- Spacecraft: Design is assumed frozen as of
  June. Send any concerns to Dave Curtis.

- Budget: New contract has been signed off


* Instruments

-*******CHANGE IN TEAM MEETING PLAN************************
 *Because the Mission CDR has been set for December 10-13,*
 *and IMPACT is required to participate in that review,   * 
 *our regular IMPACT Team Meeting scheduled for Dec 11    *
 *(the day after Fall AGU) at SSL must be cancelled. We   * 
 *will reschedule our next team meeting after CDR.        *

- Please check peer review schedule for the summer
  at http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/impact/dwc (under
  Peer Reviews link). Power Supply and STE mechanisms
  Peer Reviews were held at UCB in July, SEP review
  at GSFC on Aug 22, IDPU review on Aug 27 at UCB.
  SEPT door and SWEA Peer Reviews in Europe still to
  be held in late September.

- Thermal blanket coatings for SWEA conductivity
  requirement have been provisionally chosen.

- Mario conducted a third magnetic cleanliness
  workshop at APL on June 13 '02. He has done
  some tests of spacecraft components and will be
  working with Project on compensation magnets 
  and to screen Reaction wheel parts.

- There are currently weekly or biweekly SEP telecons
  on Thursdays, and periodic BOOM and IDPU meetings at UCB. 
  All-team telecons are now once/month:

- All IMPACT PDR action items (RFAs) should be closed

- Boom Design: Needs mechanical prototype by CDR 
  Boom Tubes and Rings are in work.

- Phase B Progress Report information will be collected
  by Dave prior to the 15th of each month.

* Other

- The Data Plan telecon was held on July 3. Peter
  Schroeder (peters@ssl.berkeley.edu) will be requesting
  inputs for the Data Management Plan, due at CDR

- Another new document deliverable for CDR is
  a preliminary IMPACT "Users Manual". Dave will
  be collecting input

- Helios 1/2 data are being restored on-line for STEREO
  science "practice" and data display design. The URL
  for access and browsing will be provided shortly.
