A University of Arizona at Tucson truck was outfitted with a specialized array of instrumentation to study the atmospheric, electrical, and acoustic properties of dust devils. The tests took place in Eloy, Arizona June 5-7, 2001 and involved scientists from UC Berkeley, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and the University of Arizona Tucson.
