UVI Observations of Comets and Jupiter
From April 16 to May 17, 2004, UVI was in a position to observe
two comets, C/2001 Q4 (NEAT) and C/2002 T7 (LINEAR),
and the planet Jupiter.
The despun platform pointing
plan shows the time intervals when UVI was observing each object.
These pages contain examples of the UVI data during this period.
Note:
Maria Spasojevic, Bill Peria, and I have done quite a bit of analysis
on these data. We've determined that we can't see either comet or
Jupiter in the UVI images. They are too dim.
I'll continue to update this page periodically as I figure more things out.
Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions.
