"Kinetic Turbulence in Magnetised Plasma: What would we like to know?"
Alex Schekochihin, Rudolf Peierls Centre for Theoretical Physics, University of Oxford, United Kingdom
I will discuss where (theoreticians think) we are with understanding weakly collisional plasma turbulence --- and what we would like to learn from observations of solar wind and magnetosphere. I will focus particularly on what space physics might do to resolve some of the issues that are crucial for macroscale modelling of astrophysical systems where the microscales are not accessible to observation.
