The Yohkoh Soft X-ray Telescope
Table of Contents
The Yohkoh Soft X-ray Telescope (SXT) has had a discovery-filled ten-year
history thus far, and many of its discoveries appear in the pages below.
For simplicity we have based this material on the "Science Nuggets," a
weekly series of messages from the observers.
These began only in 1997, so necessarily some nice things (for example, the
"Masuda flare") are not well represented here.
Otherwise they provide a good sampling of the wide range of phenomena and
physics revealed by soft X-ray imaging of the solar corona.
