Potlatch 1999

We took a Fairbanks team down to Potlatch, as we have every year since 1997. Our team is called "Look at them Beans", after the Johnny Cash song. Our Captain, Ryan, has always wanted a team called "Look at Them Beans", and he finally got his wish by moving to Fairbanks.

We had a BLAST and played very well. It was the first time we had a mostly Fairbanks team. There were only three people who were not from Fairbanks and one of them had lived in Fairbanks a few years back and played with us then. So, our team really was a Fairbanks team. We were so proud! We almost won the B beer bracket, but after winning our second game against a really, really tough team, we kind of lost our steam and played a bit too relaxed. Next year we'll do better.

Here are some pictures that a wonderful team (Equatorial Counter Current) from the first day gave us. I have to give Veronika credit for the html table layout help (taken from her bald page): thanks Veronika!
