About RHESSI Science Nuggets
March 18 2004
These weekly science nuggets are intended to give an unspecialized but scientifically reasonable view of the X-ray observations of the Sun made by the Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopy Imager (RHESSI) and related observations. This website is modelled after the Yohkoh Science Nuggets web pages, which ran from 1997 to 2002. As described there, a nugget is a lump, especially of native gold or other precious metal. We hope our science nuggets contain some precious substance but since they are written by working scientists, there may be rough spots.

We strongly encourage authorship by anybody with an interesting story to tell. Please correspond with the Editor if you have a good idea. Often the nugget could consist of an informal discussion of a recently published paper, or of an interesting unpublished result. Our intention is to put them on line following a regular biweekly schedule.

The nuggets are written in simple HTML. Authors can provide material in any reasonable format, however, and we can help with the editorial process. Please see the information for authors for details.
