RHESSI Tohban report, 14-oct-2002 to 21-oct-2002 J.McTiernan, jimm@ssl.berkeley.edu 1. Solar Activity: Plenty of activity, numerous C-flares, a few M flares 2. Memory Managment: Due to activity, shutters were in 1-3 mode for most of the week. We started the week at 78% SSR fill level. The first 13 hours of 15-oct-2002 were lost, as we moved the write pointer to free memory. For 15-oct to 19-oct, when the SSR_fill level dropped below 40%, shutters were put into 0-1-3 mode, (typically the 2nd BGS pass). The shutters were placed back into 1-3 mode during the last pass. For 20-oct-2002, the shutter was only out for 1 orbit. For 21-oct-2002, the shutter was in 1-3 mode for all passes in an unsuccessful attempt to drive the SSR fill below 30%. (The idea here was to get some 0-1-3 time in conjunction with high-cadence BBSO observations from 1500 to 2300 UT.) The SSR fill level at the end of today's passes was 32%. 3. Data Gaps: One big one on 15-oct-2002 0:00 to 13:00. See Above 4. Misc: You can now get the absolute latest SOH data from the vc0 files without having to wait for fits files to be processed. vc0's are held in the directory /disks/sunny/home/clock_drift/vc0_input_file Try this: IDL> file='/disks/sunny/home/clock_drift/vc0_input_file/vc0_20021021105405.0' IDL> xxx = hsi_any_sohdata(vc0_filename=file, soh_label='iaccel', /plot) The average value of iaccel is pretty high for this file.
