RHESSI Tohban report, 27-Jan-2004 to 02-Feb-2004 Albert Shih, ayshih@ssl.berkeley.edu 1. Solar Activity Activity started out low, and dropped to extremely low levels early in the week. For January 28 and 29, the GOES level was B1 or lower with a minimum of A5 at ~4 UT on January 29. At that time, there were no active regions on the disc. Since then, activity has picked up again with occasional flaring. Overall, this week had a handful of B-class flares and a few C-class flares. How many GOES flares occurred? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 15 6 0 0 And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 2 5 0 0 And how many had EXCELLENT coverage? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 0 2 0 0 There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 29 / 21 over the time range 26-Jan-04 01-Feb-04 2. Memory Management Since solar activity is so low, the SSR has dropped to 0% multiple times. 3. Data Problems There was difficulty with the SSL server "apollo" earlier in the week that hampered data processing. These issues are being sorted out. In addition, there may be some missing data due to trouble with Wallops passes.
