RHESSI Tohban Report, 04-Apr-2005 to 11-Apr-2005 by Albert Shih (ayshih@ssl.berkeley.edu) 1) Solar Activity The Sun has been fairly quiet. The baseline is ~B2. How many GOES flares occurred? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 33 3 0 0 And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 6 3 0 0 And how many had EXCELLENT coverage? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 3 2 0 0 There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 13 / 36 over the time range 03-Apr-05 10-Apr-05 2) Memory Management Memory space has not been a problem, and we are still taking down front-segment data at nighttime. 3) Operations On both 2005 April 6 and 2005 April 7 (~16 UT), RHESSI transitioned to "IDLE" mode due to spin rate calculation errors after exceeding three minutes of being oriented parallel to the magnetic field. It is possible to predict such failures, so steps are being taken to prevent future failures. 4) Next Week's Tohban: Steven Christe
