Tohban report, 22-Mar-2006 to 29-Mar-2006 Ya-Hui Yang, yhyang@ssl.berkeley.edu 1. Solar Activity: Low, several B class flares during this week. In the most time of Mar. 24~27, it's less than B level (~A3). Active region 10865 appeared in the solar disk. How many GOES flares occurred? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 30 6 0 0 And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 2 5 0 0 And how many had EXCELLENT coverage? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 3 0 0 There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 11 / 36 over the time range 21-Mar-06 28-Mar-06 2. Memory Managment: Decimation was changed to "Crab/Normal" during the solar eclipse on Mar. 29, and then changed back to "Normal/Vigorous" after the eclipse. The SSR fill level was ~56% at the beginning, up to ~67% during this week, and then decreased to ~37% before the decimation changed. The SSR ended up at ~40% after the declimation changed back to the normal mode. It is ~42% by the end of last BGS pass today. 3. GRB: RHESSI observed a GRB at ~07:05 UT on Mar. 23, which was also observed by INTEGRAL (SPI-ACS) and Konus. Thanks Hugh Hudson, David Smith, and Kevin Hurley to mention and confirm it. David Smith added a new link of GRB website in the "Tohban Links". 5. other things: Solar eclipse occurred during ~07:36-12:45 UT on Mar. 29. So, as Gordon Hurford suggested, the declimation changed to the "Crab" mode during the eclipse as done in quiet sun. 5. Next week's tohban: Amir Caspi (cepheid@ssl.berkeley.edu)
