Solar Activity The Sun continued to be completely quiet for the first few days, but activity picked up over the weekend as active region 10917 started to produce some flares. GOES baseline is currently ~A3. How many GOES flares occurred? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 7 0 0 0 And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 3 0 0 0 And how many had EXCELLENT coverage? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 0 0 0 There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 14 / 7 over the time range 17-Oct-06 24-Oct-06 2. Memory Management Memory has not been a problem. 3. Spacecraft Operations Because solar activity returned, the spacecraft was commanded on Monday to stop offpointing, and resumed Sun observations on Tuesday.
