The Sun was relatively quiet with a GOES base level mostly around B8. Mentionable is the M3-flare on June-3 which appears to be impulsive and with a very short decay.
There are currently 12 labeled active regions on the disk; AR 11498 and 11499 show some complexity and will be on the disk for another 8 days or so. Good hope!

Starting this week, the SSR was empty by the end of the pass sequence. However, anticipating additional data (30 to 40% SSR) acquired by the SAS observing the Venus transit, addition Weilheim passes had been scheduled. On June 6, after acquiring about 25% SSR of Venus transit data, the SSR level is at 8% by the end of the pass sequence.
The Slow Valid Monitor Rates for G2 seem to be elevated at times.
No special operation was conducted for X-ray and gamma-rays. The transit will be observed by the SAS. (see RHESSI nugget 2012-06-01 <ref>http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/wiki/index.php/RHESSI_and_the_Transit_of_Venus_I</ref>)
The SAS image rate had been increase at 2012-156-17:35 UTC adding about 3% SSR per day. This parameter table is run for about one day prior to the transit and about two days after the transit. The transit itself is observed with the SAS by acquiring data of 64 pixels/limb with 64Hz (no images, no RAS data). The solar limb will trigger two limb per CCD and, in addition, whenever a SAS CCD is crossing the shadow of Venus, two limbs are trigger observing the Venus shadow with about 120 pixels. On 2012-161-15:14 UTC, the ADP will be set back to its normal operation.
