Solar Activity

Five solar active regions this week:

- NOAA active regions 1043 and 1044 rotated over the west limb on Feb 10th without producing any significant X-ray flare event.

- NOAA active region 1045 emerged over the sun's north east hemisphere on Feb 7th. It was the source of numerous B-, C- and M-class events. Three of the M-class flares were caught by RHESSI up to 25 keV. The position of NOAA 1045 on Feb 10th is N23W37

- NOAA active regions 1046 and 1047 emerged over the sun's east hemisphere on Feb 9th. Their position on Feb 10 is N24E31 and S17E50, respectively.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 21 26 6 0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 10 18 3 0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 9 13 2 0

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 31 / 53 over the time range 03-Feb-10 9-Feb-10
