Solar Activity

Activity level high! There was an X2 flare on Sept 6 at 2212 UT. Though the data isn't down yet, RHESSI should have caught this. The X2 originated from a complex active region (11283) near the center of the disk, so there's the potential for further activity. There are 7 active regions on the disk, though 2 will soon rotate off.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were

Memory Management

The SSR is around 50%.

Instrument Status

In keeping with the policy of having a different detector act up each week, this week there was a small spike in detector 6:

and, possibly, elevated rates in detector 6 generally.
