Solar Activity

The Sun is very quiet. There were no big flares this week (nothing above C-class). Currently there are four active regions on the Sun. The activity level (occasional B- and C- flares) is not expected to change soon; STEREO-B doesn't show anything much on the horizon.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 19 9 0 0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 12 3 0 0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 5 1 0 0

Memory Management

The SSR is emptying by the end of each pass set.

Spacecraft Status

The cold plate 2 is at 110.9K.

A spin-up was done on day 017 (Thursday) from 01:18 to 04:27 UT, ending at a spin rate of 14.9 rpm.

Detector issues

No detector operations were performed this week, due to odd pass times and the temporary issue with BGS on Friday. Raising the voltage for detector 2 should be resumed this week. No significant detector issues were noticed this week. D2 continues to have elevated rates. There was a very small spike in D9 at 11:25 UT on the 22nd.

Other notes

There was a 6-hour downtime of BGS on Friday due to a hardware failure in the MOC. The issue was fixed and no RHESSI data was lost.
