Solar Activity

Solar activity this week was moderate in activty. A Major Flare Watch was called for AR 11726 as the active region is developing and retains its beta-gamma-delta configuration. There are currently 6 active regions on the disk. The most active being 11726 which has produced a several C class flares in the last 48 hours and one M1.0 on April 22.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were     19    42     1     0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were     14    27     0     0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were      7    13     0     0

Memory Management

The SSR was mostly emptying at the end of the daily passes during the beginning of the week.


Spacecraft Status

The cold plate 1 and 2 are at 114 K and 112 K respectively. Spint rate is a 14.6 rpm


Data Gaps

There was no data gaps this week.

Detector issues

Detector 9 didn't show any dropouts this week. Jeremy followed the issue trying to find a correlation between spacecraft systems and the dropouts, however he didn't find any correlation.

Other notes

Brian reported an overall increase in temperature and cryocooler power. Also, an increase in cryocooler accelerometer amplitude is seen with a decrease in cryocooler efficiency. A rebalancing of the cryocooler was proposed as a measure to lower the power consumption and the overall increase trend in temperature. The most likely cause for this effect is contamination.
