Solar Activity

There were no more X flares, but the Sun remained active this week. There are currently 9 active regions on the disk. There was a large M flare today, although the data is still too new to tell easily where this flare came from. It is likely that the Sun will remain somewhat active, and the tohban recommends staying in Active/Vigorous decimation mode.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 2 33 3 0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 20 3 0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 9 0 0

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 308 / 38 over the time range 15-May-13 to 22-May-13
