Solar Activity

Solar activity was high in the beginning of the week and tapered off to low by the end. The sun produced 3 X-class events, with only 1 being caught by RHESSI. AR 11890, who was responsible for the X-class activity this week, is set to rotate off disk, but remains in a beta-gamma-delta configuration with a chance of producing another x-class event. The second most active region on disk, AR11897, is on the lower eastern hemisphere and has a beta-gamma configuration. Stereo-B shows an AR that will rotate on disk in a few days.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 64 8 3

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 48 7 1

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 28 4 1

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 387 / 76 over the time range 05-Oct-13 12-Nov-13

Memory Management

The SSR is emptying at the end of the pass sets, and often before the last pass. We are still in Active/Vigorous mode. Rear eclipse data was turned on, and we are currently collecting data for the entire eclipse. Plus/minus 4 minutes are still on for fronts.

Spacecraft Status

Cold plate 1 is at: 117.8K. Cold plate 2 is at 116.3K.

Detector issues

There were some isolated spikes in D4 on Nov 9th. No further spiking occurred in the remainder of the week, next Tohban should keep an eye on D4.
