Earlier this week, the sun was very quiet at B-level. However, the activity suddenly became high after AR12087 started rotating over the south-east limb on Tuesday Jun 10. This AR has so far produced 3 X-class flares. There are currently 9 ARs on the disk. STEREO B shows there is another large AR that would rotate on disk next week.
How many GOES flares occurred?

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

The SSR is emptying at the end of the daily pass set. The maximum was 27% (The last pass ended 5% with one AGO pass left).
All looks good. The cold plate 1 and 2 are at 117.6 K and 116.2 K respectively. Spin rate 14.7rpm.
There is no large data gap to report.
After making the D4 threshold change earlier this week, the monitor rates remained steady. The other change in D7 threshold was to see if it can be used for the average livetime calculation.

Jun 9, D7 rear slow threshold from 0x30 to 0x40
The detectors used to calculate the average livetime were changed from D2 & D5 (twice each) to D2 only (at Jun 9, 17:01:50 UTC).
Possible timings of annealing was discussed. Results of spectral analysis were presented by the tohban and Hazel. The team has an impression that Detectors 3,6 (and maybe 8, 9 as well) are not so good for spectroscopy especially in the <15 keV range. Thus, more people seem to be in favor of annealing soon. It was also pointed out that an earlier annealing would allow us to have a larger chance of observing good flares and to have a longer time for unsegmented detectors to be segmented. Over the next week, Albert will further consult the engineering team as well as the science team.
