Farside monitors and high loops observations show that the active region 12192 is close to rotate onto the disk in the next days.

Solar Activity

Solar activity was moderate this week with 3 M class flares. Currently there are 8 active regions on disk. Active region 12209, which hosted the X and M class flares on its previous rotation (then label 12192) is at the center or the disk, and is classified as a beta/gamma/delta region. A major flare watch remains in place, with a good chance for a >M5 class flare.
