Solar Activity

Solar activity this week was moderate. A Major Flare Watch has just been called for AR 12242, currently at disk center, which produced an M8.7 flare within the past day (i.e., it is not included within the following counts).

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 0 55 2 0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 0 44 1 0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 0 31 0 0

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 442 / 57 over the time range 09-Dec-14 16-Dec-14

Memory Management

Currently the SSR is not emptying at the end of each daily pass set, due to the increased solar activity and the collection of front data during eclipse.

Temperature

Cold plate temperatures are at

Data Gaps

Data probably needs reprocessing:

Night time data (fronts) full night-time events
Night time data (rears) full night-time events
Require extra passes? No
Requirement for moving pointer? No
Attenuator operation Nominal
Detector problems? Detector 2 front and D9 rear light leak.
