Solar Activity

The sun is moderately active; how many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 4 24 4 0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 0 15 4 0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 0 5 1 0

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 186 / 32 over the time range 22-Dec-15 29-Dec-15

Memory Management

Decimation was active/vigorous for the full time period. Both front and rear detectors are off during SC night, except for 4 minutes on either side. The SSR is at 60% at the end of the most recent AGO pass today.

On 28 December (day 362) we skipped the playback pointer, during the second Wallops pass, dropping the level from 99% to 22% and then played down to 19%. This resulted in a vc3 data gap from approximately 04:30 UT to approximately 20:00 UT on 27-dec-2015.

Spacecraft Status

The cold plates, 1 and 2 were at 137.5 and 136.0 K, on 2015-12-30.

Detector issues

Detector 2 is unsegmented, Detector 9 is off, detectors 3, 4, and 8 are not recording events. D3 was turned off beacuse it was filling the memory with front segment noise; D8 was turned off because it was filling the memory with rear segment ULD events.

15-362-06:05:42 start sc_tbl_loadpkt ("T15357SLTN61_No_G3_G4_G9.00") ; New RTS 26 so G3 events will stay off

15-362-07:43:27 start sc_ssr_poff ; Halted SSR playback

15-362-07:43:34 start sc_ssr_pnt  ; Jumped read pointer to 197176000

15-362-07:44:36 start sc_ssr_play ; Started SSR playback

15-362-09:13:58 /ihvdac detector=1, voltage=166 ; Lowered G1 HV by 200V from 176

We also adjusted the attenuator thresholds using the current iattflux deadtime of 13.7%
