Solar Activity

The Sun was more active this week, with several B and C-class flares. There are currently 3 ARs on the disk with some probability for C-class flare activity in the following days.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 11 20 0 0

RHESSI flare list contains 0 over the time range 05-Apr-16 12-Apr-16

No overlapping RHESSI flares to count, sorry

Memory Management

The SSR has been reaching a minimum of ~4% and a maximum of ~31%.

Spacecraft Status

The spacecraft is currently in the middle of an anneal procedure. Cryocooler power is at ~42 watts, as the last pass.

Data Gaps

N/A

Detector issues

All detectors are off

Other notes

This week the cooling procedures of the annealing process started. During the week no complications were observed and the cooldown is going as expected. The discussion this week was centered on the criteria that needs to be selected to stay at the 90% or ramp up to 100% cryocooler power cooldown. The solution found was to have three teams (Albert and Brian, Martin and the Tohbans) to propose such criteria by next week. Also, it was proposed to have power increases more often during the cooldown in steps of 1-2 watts.
