Solar Activity

The Sun was really quiet this week. There were NO GOES flares during the last week. Current solar activity is under level GOES-A8. There are only two pretty small active regions on the East limb with little changes to host a solar flare in the next couple of days.

Memory Management

Decimation was active/vigorous for the full time period. SSR at 28% with 1 pass to go today.

Spacecraft Status

Detectors 1, 3, 6, and 8 are recording events.

Cold Plates temperatures are at 156.5 and 155.1 K. Cold Tips at 130.1 and 128.1 K respectively.

See http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~ayshih/soh/latest_temperatures.pdf for a summary plot of recent temperatures, efficiencies and accelerometer values.

Detector issues

Detectors 1, 3, 6, and 8 are powered on, and are recording events. Some oscillations observed on detector 1,3, and 8 during the weekend have stopped. Data look clean for the last couple of days.

On Monday, May 15, the HV on G6 was decreased from ~3400 to ~2000V to improve its livetime. The experiment seemed to work.
