ISUAL project

The Imager for Sprites and Upper Atmospheric Lightning (ISUAL) is a cooperation between the Space Sciences Laboratory (SSL) of the University of California at Berkeley (UCB) with the National Chen Kung University (NCKU). This cooperation is part of the ROCSAT-2 project sponsored by the National Space Program Office of Taiwan (NSPO).

The ISUAL instrument will be used to observe sprites, the aurora, and upper atmospheric airglow from a satellite.

A short description of the ISUAL instrument is available.

A display tool for ISUAL data is under development.

Technical information regarding the UCB ISUAL project will be updated periodically.

PowerPoint version of the System Design Review charts are available.
