       Auroral Condition: Arc overhead, slowly brightening in center forming
                          a narrower band.  Poleward arcs appear and 
                          disappear.

              ASC: arc almost overhead, a little to the south with some
                     aurora directly overhead
              AFT: Either diffuse aurora or moonlit sky 
              FWD: arc in middle
