Solar Activity

Not much activity, (one C-flare, and a few B-flares). RHESSI detectors were still off because of the anneal. They are now on and RHESSI is again operational (see below).

Operations

High voltage have been turned on, completing the last stage of the anneal.

G3 segmented very early, at around 600 V.

 Detector Voltage (approx)
 G3 600 V
 G8 1400 V
 G9 1950 V
 G1 2450 V
 G7 2750 V
 G5 2950 V
 G6 3400 V
G2+G4 never segmented, even when pushed to 4951 V (one ADC notch below maximum).

Now, all detectors are back to 4000 V, except for detector 9 (which showed some arcing after SAA passages).

Front slow threshold setting on detector 2 is set to 0x50, detector 4 seems to be close to optimal at 0x70.

Spin up to 15.0 RPM and lowering of the cryocooler power from 80 W to 70 W. Cold tip temps came up a little over, we will keep an eye on them and see where they stabilize. Accelerations came down about 3 mG to 11 mG.

  Cryo Power: 69.7 W
   avg accel: 11.2 mG
Cold Plate 1: 99.70 K
Cold Plate 2: 98.30 K
  Cold Tip 1: 86.28 K
  Cold Tip 2: 84.30 K
    CPC Temp: 44.1 C

Shutter motions were enabled. Livetime calculations for attenuator motion uses detectors 1, 3, 6, 7.

A partial solar eclipse in AIA data was observed during the first night (Tuesday around 5 am, PST) of high voltage ramp up procedures.

Decimation is at Normal/Vigorous.

Yay, HESSI!!
