Conference Proceedings
Invited talks will be published as a special issue
of the Canadian Journal of Physics.
All papers will be peer reviewed.
We do not place a page limit on the length of individual contributions.
The length of your paper should be driven by the topic and the
space needed to produce a paper that will be cited for years to
come. This is especially true for papers reviewing a particular
subject matter. We roughly suggest that Progress Reports do not
exceed 10 journal pages and that Reviews do not exceed 25 printed
pages.
In order to provide enough time for the preparation of your manuscript,
the deadline for submitting your manuscript is February 16, 2007.
The Manuscript
Instructions on how to prepare your manuscript are given on the
Instructions
to Authors page of the Canadian Journal of Physics. In many
ways the instructions are the same as for many other journals.
Manuscripts may be prepared using LaTeX (or REVTeX). Authors
are encouraged to use the CJP LaTeX style file nrc1.sty, which
can be downloaded and installed from ftp://ftp.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/nrc/.
A link to this web site, and other information for authors, including
the Copyright Transfer Form, can be obtained by starting from
the CJP web page http://cjp.nrc.ca
and following the links indicated there. Manuscripts can also
be prepared as WordPerfect or MS Word files. Please submit figures
in form of eps files.
All manuscripts, except those prepared using nrc1.sty, must be
typed double-spaced, on one side only
of quality paper 8.5 ? 11 in. (or ISO A4) with 1 in.
(2.5 cm) margins. A manuscript printed on a dot-matrix printer
is not acceptable. The manuscript will include, in the following
order, the title page, the abstract, a brief introduction, main
text, concluding section, acknowledgments, reference list, any
appendices, tables (each starting on a separate page and including
a title), and figure captions (typed on a separate page in numerical
order). Each page of the manuscript must be numbered at the top
of the page, beginning with the title page. Use an italic font
for material that is to be set in italics. Manuscripts that do
not conform to this format may be returned to the author for correction
before review.
Submitting the Manuscript
Please submit your manuscript via the OSPREY online
submission at the Canadian Journal of Physics web page.
Make sure to select "Electron Beam Ion Trap" under the
pull down menu under "Special Issue". Alternately, you
can send a manuscript file (LaTfex, MS Word, or WordPerfect)
and eps figure files to EBIT@llnl.gov. Submissions before the
deadline (February 16, 2007) are very welcome.
