Publishing in the Canadian Journal of Physics
Published since 1929, the Canadian
Journal of Physics publishes on a monthly basis reports that represent
significant contributions to physics. Reports may be submitted in English
or in French for publication as an article, a research note, a tutorial,
or a rapid communication in the fields of atomic and molecular physics,
condensed matter, elementary particles and nuclear physics, gases, fluid
dynamics and plasmas, electromagnetism and optics, mathematical physics,
and interdisciplinary, classical and applied physics, and physics education.
If your library does not have a subscription the Canadian Journal of Physics, you can sample some articles below. Please request that your librarian place a subscription. Institutional subscriptions are $715/year (2009 prices) for electronic access.
Special Conference Issues
The Canadian Journal of Physics publishes papers from conferences and symposia in about two of its twelve issues in a given year. For example, the proceedings of the workshop celebrating 20 Years of Spectroscopy with EBIT were published in the January 2008 issue of the Canadian Journal of Physics.
Another special issue of likely interest to attendees of ASOS10 is the January 2009 issue, which contains the papers from the Symposium honoring the work and life of Prof. Walter Johnson.
Sample Papers
Over the past eight years, the Canadian Journal of Physics has become
one of the main archiving journals used by the Livermore EBIT and the UC Berkeley Laboratory Astrophysics groups
and their collaborators for publishing original results in atomic
physics and laboratory spectroscopy. Click on the links below to download some sample papers of interest to ASOS10.
